Careers Education Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
We Dream
Our vision at Oak Wood School is to armour our young people with the knowledge and vision to dream about their future. We do this by providing our pupils with a planned programme of experiences that will support and enable them to choose pathways at that are suited to them. This ensures they are equipped to manage their career choices, sustain employment, and achieve personal and economic wellbeing to be successful adults who support a community. Our aim is to ensure that our young people are provided with the means and opportunity to engage with industry and employers to understand their future job and career potential.

Unifrog
All Oak Wood pupils are signed up to a Unifrog account. From exploring career pathways and researching universities, apprenticeships, and further education opportunities to accessing virtual work experience and employer encounters, students can build their knowledge and confidence for their next steps. Unifrog helps young people identify their strengths and interests, make informed choices, and plan their future pathways. Students can also record achievements, track goals, and access a wide range of careers information in one place. Simply log in to your account at www.unifrog.org.

Skills Builder
All Key Stage 3 Oak Wood pupils have access to the Skills Builder programme. Skills Builder is a nationally recognised framework that helps students develop the essential skills needed for success in education, employment, and everyday life. Through engaging activities and structured learning, students can build confidence in key areas such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, leadership, listening, and staying positive.
Skills Builder supports students in recognising and developing their strengths while providing opportunities to practise and reflect on their progress. By working towards recognised skill benchmarks, pupils can better understand how these essential skills connect to future careers, further education, apprenticeships, and the workplace. Skills Builder helps young people prepare for their next steps and become confident, capable, and career-ready individuals. Simply visit www.skillsbuilder.org for more information.
