We are delighted that you are considering training to teach with Oak Wood School and excited to share our offer with you. Through our partnership with the Avanti Schools Trust SCITT Programme and Teach First, one of the leading providers of outstanding teacher training in the country, we are able to offer the School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) route into teaching from September 2023.
The 1-year course gives you a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status allowing you to learn in a supportive environment. We have vacancies in: Maths, Science and English.
Funding: a number of subjects offer grants, you can get a grant of up £29,000 to train to teach.
